DPDPA consent management software, compared

Updated 10 October 2026

The right DPDPA consent management software depends on two things: where your personal data and consent records must live, and how you want to pay. DPDPA CMS runs entirely on your own servers for a one-time setup fee plus support. Consentin, Digital Anumati, GoTrust, Redacto and Seqrite also offer on-premises editions, priced annually or by quote. OneTrust, TrustArc, Privy and Securiti are cloud services sold on subscription.

We make DPDPA CMS. Facts about the other 11 tools come from their own websites and the sources listed below, checked on 10 October 2026. Products change. If something here is out of date, email hello@dpdpacms.com and we will correct it. All trademarks belong to their owners; DPDPA CMS is not affiliated with any vendor listed here.

What to look for

  • Where personal data and consent records live. In the vendor’s cloud, in a vendor-run India region, or on your own servers. This decides your security review, your sub-processor list and who else holds data about people in India.
  • Notice and consent as the Act requires. An itemised notice in English or any of the 22 languages in the Eighth Schedule (section 5), withdrawal as easy as giving consent (section 6(4)), and a record that proves both, because the burden of proof is on you (section 6(10)).
  • Rights and grievances. Access, correction and erasure, nomination, and grievance redressal (sections 11 to 14), each with a trail you can show the Data Protection Board.
  • More than consent. A data inventory, sub-processor register and privacy impact assessments, which Significant Data Fiduciaries must carry out every 12 months (Rule 13).
  • How the cost grows. Subscriptions are often metered on users, data principals, consents, domains or pageviews, so the bill rises with your business. A one-time fee does not.

Tools you can run on your own infrastructure

DPDPA CMS

Built only for the DPDPA and the DPDP Rules, 2025, and runs only on your infrastructure: purpose-based consent, consent regularisation campaigns, rights requests with an auditable workflow, a survey-based data inventory that reaches legacy systems, sub-processor register and privacy impact assessments. One-time setup fee plus support, and three months free in your own environment. See the product.

Consentin

A DPDP platform from Leegality, the e-sign company, offered as cloud or on-premises, with automated discovery and notices in 22 languages. Its on-premises edition is an annual fee that rises with profiles and connectors. DPDPA CMS vs Consentin.

GoTrust

A privacy and data-security suite covering the DPDPA, GDPR and other laws, offered as cloud or on-premises, with 300+ discovery connectors and DSPM and DLP tools. Pricing is by quote. DPDPA CMS vs GoTrust.

Cookie banner tools

CookieYes

A cookie consent banner for websites, covering GDPR, CCPA and other laws, on published per-domain plans. DPDPA is not among the laws it lists as supported, and it handles website cookies only, not the rest of the personal data you collect.

Why self-hosted, at any size

  • Personal data and consent records never leave your environment. No additional third party holds data about people in India, so there is nothing new to add to your sub-processor list, your cross-border assessment or your breach exposure.
  • It runs under the security you already operate: your identity and access management, your network controls, your logging, your backups, your audits.
  • The cost does not grow with you. Subscription tools are priced on users, data principals, visitors or consent volumes, so the largest organisations pay the most. DPDPA CMS is a one-time setup fee plus support.
  • Vendor-risk review is shorter, because the vendor never hosts, sees or processes your data.
  • It is built around the DPDPA itself, from itemised notices and consent withdrawal to rights requests, nomination and grievance redressal, rather than configured from a global template.
  • You can run it in your own environment for three months before paying anything.

Frequently asked questions

Which DPDPA consent management tools can run on your own servers?

DPDPA CMS, Consentin, Digital Anumati, GoTrust, Redacto and Seqrite Data Privacy offer self-hosted or on-premises deployment. OneTrust, TrustArc, Privy and Securiti are cloud services. DPDPA CMS runs only on your infrastructure and costs a one-time setup fee plus support.

Is a cookie banner enough for DPDPA compliance?

No. The DPDPA covers all digital personal data you process, including data collected offline and digitised later, not only website cookies. You also need itemised notices, easy withdrawal, rights requests, grievance redressal and records that prove consent.

How is DPDPA consent management software priced?

Most tools are subscriptions sold by quote and metered on users, data principals, consents, domains or pageviews. The on-premises editions of Consentin and Digital Anumati are annual fees based on profiles. DPDPA CMS is a one-time setup fee plus support, with no recurring licence.

When do the DPDPA consent obligations apply?

The DPDP Rules bring notice, consent and most other Data Fiduciary obligations into force on 13 May 2027. The government has proposed bringing some of them forward; our deadline page tracks the current status.

Can DPDPA CMS run alongside a global privacy platform?

Yes. DPDPA CMS is self-contained and runs in your own environment, so you can use it for DPDPA compliance in India while keeping a global platform such as OneTrust or TrustArc for other jurisdictions.
